A Christmas Story

Merry Christmas! Hey, Santa ate all the cookies and left me one with a bite taken out of it!
Sweet! A Princess something or other in my stocking!
I love, love, love my new Princess flashlight!
This look says it all folks. "Is this gift a joke or for real? And if it is for real, how do I keep a smile pasted on my face and tell my husband that I love it, even if it is making my toes curl with it's ugliness."
Just what she always wanted... A homemade Snuggie!
Shelley's real gift: a pretty sweet personalized book of pictures of our family.
Oh yes, you can't beat the Princess shirt with the always blinking heart. Now...how are we supposed to wash this thing?
Nana teaching McKenzie how to read.
Merry Christmas!
Christmas with Nana and Puppa.

A Christmas Eve Story

Ah yes, Christmas Eve. When young ones are coming down from their sugar cookie high and ready for bed.
McKenzie's super power is that she can grow olives right out of her fingers.
Watch out "Heroes".
The annual "Kissing of the Christmas Bear".
Hangin' out with Nana and Puppa.
The oh-so-important cookie plate for Santa. Without this, Santa would never have enough energy to make it to all of the houses in one night.
Oops! Do you think Santa goes by the 3-second rule?
I think the saying is "The stars in your eyes, not the stars on your cheeks." But pretty cute anyways.
"Are there any raccoons in this tree?"
Ho! Ho! Ho!
My two beautiful girls.

White Christmas

A week before Christmas we caught a cold snap which turned all the rain that we usually get into an unusual amount of snow. We had upwards of 14 inches at our house through Christmas. It was awesome. Here we are gearing up to go play in the white stuff.
McKenzie, as always, is a huge help when it comes to shoveling the driveway.
My girls playing in the snow. Just like two snow angels...
Check out my sweet gloves that I borrowed from the neighbors.
Getting a little chilly, Dad!
What? My hands swell up when it gets cold sometimes!
"I'm telling you Dad, they Triple Dog Dared me to do it!"

Ye Annual Tree Farm Visit

It's amazing what one year will do as far as a little girl's fear of goats and Santa. This year, McKenzie was all over petting the fuzzy little guys, even though they appeared more than stuffed on the oats that everyone had been feeding them.
Can I take him home?

No tears this year, but she was far from at ease. Notice the clenched fists. One fist is saying, "There ain't no way I'm letting go of this candy cane", while the other one is saying, "If this fat guy tries anything...". Oh, and by the way, she asked Santa for a Raccoon for Christmas.
The infamous tree hunters.
Mmmmm, candycane.

The Four Prego's.
The group.
"Hey Dad! I found one that is just my size! What do you think?"

Grandparents

Grandparents and great grammas are great. Here are just a few pics of them to show our appreciation.
