Peter and Mo Got Married

My brother Peter married a wonderful girl named Mo in Everett. Here is a pic of the family outside the Marina.
Shelley picked this drop dead gorgeous dress to wear, and Riley of course, is just hanging loose.
Peter looked very cool and calm on his wedding day.
Kenzie was one of the flower girls, and is enjoying getting to spend time with Nana.

Kenzie and Auntie Anna.
Showing Kenzie the ring.
Waiting for the bride.

Riley decided to hang out in the back and pick grass.
The happy couple making their getaway.
Kenzie's Puppa in his very nice new suit.
Kenzie getting down with Mo at the reception. It was a beautiful wedding and tons of fun, and we wish them the best!

Random Happenings

Kenzie sporting some sweet shades and having a "ball" in the backyard. (groan)

I can see you.
"Who me?"
Auntie Anna meeting Riley for the first time.
Check out the abstract painting going on on that Strawberry Shortcake coloring book page. I think we have a future Picasso on our hands.
Any bands out there looking for a killer Alligator Xylophone player?
Kenzie at the salon for her first haircut. It was a big day.
Her hair was driving us nuts. It was long on the outside, but would be short and curly underneath.
Getting everything cleaned up.
Trimming up the back.
The finished look. Pretty darn cute, if you ask me.
1,001, 1,002, we're just barely breaking a sweat!

Family Camp 2009

Yes, we were finally able to go to Family Camp this year. We had been hearing about it from our friends for years, but never really had the time to go. So this year, we took the plunge. It was great. Super relaxing, great speakers, great worship times, great child care, great food. Just great!
Riley loved "Roughing It" out on the front porch of our cabin.
Now, what we have here is a very rare species indeed. I believe that we are catching an amazing glimpse at one, Mckenzius Milliganus. Native to Southwestern Washington. They thrive on a diet of fruit snacks and apple juice.
Can you spell trepidation? McKenzie getting up the nerves to get in the pool.
Two young hoodlums, just lazing away in the shade. I think Riley is trying to impress Jenna with his amazing flexibility.
As excited as McKenzie was to go fishing, the look on her face says it all...bait fishing is BORING. I tried to explain the intricacies of fly fishing and how the rhythm of the rod and line and fly keep you in tune with fish and nature, but she was happy just playing with the colored marshmallows. Fish - 1, McKenzie and Daddy - 0
Talking about really important things...like...who is your favorite princess.
We borrowed the Stephenson's bike, and really had fun zipping around the camp ground.
I believe I can fly...
Roasting her first marshmallow.
Mmmmmmmm!
Hanging out around the campfire with our friends.
Pooped out from a hard day of playing at camp.
Kenzie loved the pool, and really got over her fear of it for the first time.
Quick family portrait. We all had a great time, and hope to go back soon.

Pinky Pink

Every once in awhile, there comes a time in a young girl's life when it's time to empty the pinky pink. (Piggy Bank) McKenzie had finally filled up her bunny, and it was time to take it to Daddy's work, and put it in her account.
See Mom and Dad, it's super heavy. Maybe we could put this towards my car,
or college tuition...

We didn't find out until we got there, that she doesn't differentiate between coins and buttons. She had stuffed quite a few buttons into her piggy bank. Once I sorted them all out, she surprisingly still had somewhere around $40 bucks in there. Amazing. I think that will buy her a couple of hours at community college.

4th of July, 2009

This year, we all walked in the parade with the Red Canoe people, and tossed candy to the crowd. It was a lot of fun, and both kids loved it.
After the parade down at the lake waiting for Daddy to finish hitting his golf balls at the floating green. He ended up getting one on for the third year in a row, and won a prize!
Kenzie was so serious when she was getting her face painted.
Here's the final job, two colorful callapitters, I mean caterpillars.
McKenzie and Alyssa excited to be heading down the lake for some fireworks and maybe an elephant ear.
Shelley and Michelle with their boys Carter and Riley.
Maddie, Kenzie and Alyssa hanging out at the lake.
The Milligan family waiting for the fireworks.
Holy cow, Mom, did you see that one? It was huge! Can I light some off when we get home?
